Calendar story

I’m the first calendar ever the artist has created. When he completed a collection of seven colours of the aura and a dotted collection painted in Mexico, he decided to paint 12 mandalas on the calendar. All of this was created far away in the rainforest by the lake and the town of Catemaco, in a campsite called “La Jungla”. He attached sheets and plastic bags to a tent to make a shelter. A simple studio in a nature was created where I could be born.
Firstly, all the mandalas were pre-done with a pencil and after that painted them with acrylic paints. In La Jungla within two months, he managed to paint May, June, August, October and December. He then moved to a coastal town Puerto Morelos, where he embarked on July, February and started to paint January. He painted the rest a year later in various places of the Czech Republic.
In his drawings the artist tried to express the colours, themes and the symbols of each month. The originals are painted on thicker paper and it´s diameter is 32 cm. One mandala took about 30-35 hours to paint. The last mandala to create was the one on the front page, which is called All Year Round.
The next stage was to take photographs of the originals and give them the last design. A smart graphic designer created my current look.
The artist´s idea got materialized, so I am here. Now I can decorate your or someone else’s home. I wish to bring joy to everyone who sees me.
